Dino-Mite (Pre - 6th)
Hands-on experience with our fossil collection will make you an expert junior paleontologist. Dinosaur characteristics and the three ages of the Mesozoic era will be explored.

Weird Science (Pre & up)
A wildly fun experience! Students encounter weird chemical reactions, gasses, fog and many fun surprises. Students get to experience the mysteries and wonders of science.


Magnets & Electricity (2nd & up)
Learn all about magnets and hair raising static electricity. Learn how a flashlight works and what a circuit is. Learn how salt and water atoms help us get light from a pickle.

Rocket Science (4th & up)
The history and science behind rocket engineering. The class ends with a model rocket liftoff.

Day in the Life of a Yokut (2nd - 6th)
The Yokuts, Monos and Miwok were the dominant people of the Central Valley foothills and mountains before the California Gold Rush. The history and daily life of these local tribes will be explored through interactive activities like acorn grinding, basket weaving and tool making.



At The Discovery Center, kids can live a day in the life of a Yokut Indian
