Get your kids outside to explore nature at The Discovery Center's Summer Science Camp 2009! Everyday is filled with hands-on projects where your young scientists build, mix, and create on their own. We've also got 2 new camps this year: Egyptian Secrets and Myths & Monsters!

5 Weeks of Camp! Summer Science Camp is for kids 6-12 years old, from 9:00 A.M.-4:00P.M.

  • Myths & Monsters - July 6-10
    Learn the truth about unicorns, dragons, giants and more as we study the ancient cultures to see where these were born! We'll dig up dinosaur bones, make our own fantasy creatures, and explore legends written in the stars.

  • Space Camp - July 13-17
    Start your summer with a blast as we explore the galaxy and beyond. Join us for space food, rocket science and outer space crafts. We've got a Gemini Space Capsule that's getting new instrument panels. At the end of camp, there is a special Friday night Star Party for the whole family. Astronaut spaces are limited!

  • Egyptian Secrets - July 20-24
    Ever wonder that it was like to live in Ancient Egypt? We'll become archaeologists and piece together our own Egyptian mystery. Join us as we dig up pottery and piece it back together, translate hieroglyphics, and hunt for a secret tomb!

  • Magic Camp - July 27-31
    Master Magician Tim is back! Come learn the magic of science and develop amazing magical powers to astound your friends. Campers get their own magical book of secrets with tricks like the vanishing coin, the Siberian chain escape, and the seesawing candle!

  • First 50 Fabulous Years - August 3-7
    This camp has it all! Come and see 5 decades of kids' favorite activities. Your kids will get a day of Weird Science, Blood and Guts, Animal Mania and more. You won't believe all the things we've done in 50 years!
