"Join Us for Homemade Experiments - Every Saturday this September..."

Turn your kids into little
scientists this Saturday...

What's the most effective way for your kids to learn about science? There's something missing from all those overhead lessons and textbooks that would really make those science concepts stick. It's hands-on learning of course! Visit us every weekend for Saturday Science, where your kids will have such a good time, they won't know they're learning! This September, it's all about homemade, hands-on experiments. Classes are free with donation and start at 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m.

  • September 5, 2009 - "Magnets"
Learn about magnets, from the biggest magnet in the world on down! We'll make our own compasses out of magnets and see if they work, too!
  • September 12, 2009 - "Electricity"
Find out the shocking truth about static electricity with our Van Der Graaf generators, learn how electricity in our houses work, and make your own electrical science experiments!
  • September 19, 2009 - "Weird Science"
Discover the amazing properties of solid carbon dioxide – dry ice – as we make soda with science and use a chemical reaction to turn two liquids into chain molecule slime!
  • September 26, 2009 - "Going Out With a Bang"
We'll try out several different science experiments to make loud – but safe – explosions that your children won't want to miss! They'll even get to set off their own mini rockets with a science experiment in a film canister!
