"Learn all about the weather, Saturdays this November..."

How you can experience all 4
seasons with us this month...

Bring the kids to come explore all the seasons of the year with us. This November, we'll be studying the changing weather, and learn what impact it has on nature. Your curious explorers will discover why different parts of the world experience seasons differently than us, why days become shorter in the Winter, and much much more. Saturday Science is hands-on fun for the whole family, so come by this weekend! Classes are just $5 for the family and start at 12, 1, and 2 p.m.

  • November 7, 2009 - "Fall"
How do things outside change during the fall? How does the weather change? We will make leaf rubs for everyone to take home, from leaves found while we explore the park!
  • November 14, 2009 - "Winter"
We will talk about why its cold here and warm somewhere else. We will learn how and why snow is made and how to keep warm. We will also make snow men with cotton.
  • November 21, 2009 - "Spring"
What changes happen during the spring? Find out why the days start to become longer and the nights shorter. We will talk about how and why the flowers bloom and how important bees are.
  • November 28, 2009 - "Summer"
Why does it get so hot during the summer? Is summer this hot everywhere? What can we do to keep ourselves safe?

We'll meet you at the park! For questions on Saturday Science, give us a call at 559-251-5533, or send an email to our friendly staff at office@thediscoverycenter.net. See you this Saturday!
