School's out, so what are your kids up to during their break? If you're looking for something interesting, yet educational for them to get excited about, you're in luck! Every Saturday this July, your kids can explore the sun and stars without ever leaving the Valley.

This month is focused on our Starlab Planetarium. Join us for 4, fun-filled Starlab presentations on Saturdays, with classes beginning at 12 p.m., 1 p.m., and 2 p.m. Classes are only $5 for the whole family, so come on by!

  • July 4, 2009 - "Star Myths and Constellations"
    Come join us with your family for our very first on-site Starlab planetarium show! We'll show you how to find some common constellations and share some star myths from cultures around the world.

  • July 11, 2009 - "Microbiology Starlab"
    In this Starlab presentation we will be exploring the cell, mitosis, meiosis, and more! After the indoor presentation, we'll take water samples from the pond, make our own slides, and try to identify the micro-organisms we see using microscopes!

  • July 18, 2009 - "Ocean Currents and Weather"
    Dive into this Starlab presentation exploring the ocean and its effect on our planet's weather! We'll be looking into the flow of ocean currents, weather patterns around the world, the water cycle, and more!

  • July 25, 2009 - "The Solar System"
    Get ready for an in-depth look at our planet, our galaxy, and our solar system with this super-cool Starlab! After the indoor presentation, make a model of our solar system to take home!
