| Bring the kids to Go Green for St. Patrick's Day |
Are your kids looking for something fun to do? Get ready to "go green" all this month for Saint Patrick's Day as we prepare to celebrate. Bring the kids to join us for Saturday Science classes this March. Saturday Science is free with a small donation of $5 per family, from 12-3pm at The Discovery Center.
- March 7, 2009
Our first exploration into our "Green for St. Patrick's Day!" Saturday Science will focus on green frogs, green water plants, green algae, and a lot more! Join us for fishing in the Walden Pond to see what you can find!
- March 14, 2009
"Green for St. Patrick's Day!" Saturday Science becomes Saturday Art! Learn all about green as a color and make several art projects using green construction paper, paint, and more. Make a St. Patrick's Day card and a leprechaun trap, too!
- March 21, 2009
What would a "Green for St. Patrick's Day!" Saturday Science be without a class on plants and trees? Learn about photosynthesis, chlorophyll, why leaves turn colors, and start your own seedling to take home!
- March 28, 2009
To honor the upcoming Earth Day, our last "Green for St. Patrick's Day!" Saturday Science will focus on "being green" by reducing, re-using, and recycling! Make your own crafts and musical instruments out of recycled materials and learn easy ways everyone can help the Earth!
Go green with us, Saturdays this March as we celebrate St. Patrick's Day. We'll be exploring all things green - everything from frogs, plants, the Earth and even leprechauns! Give us a call at 559-251-5533 for more information, or send an email to office@thediscoverycenter.net.
