SEASONS GREETINGS AND BLESSINGS ON OUR COMMUNITY

The Discovery Center Staff and Trustees send you, our wonderful guests, greetings for this holiday season. This is a time of year to be grateful and thankful for all the blessings we have received, seen and unseen. Many many people work tirelessly all around us doing the many things that need to be done. They do them because they need to be attended to. We often don't notice that fact until something doesn't work as expected. The Trustees take this time to thank our wonderful Discovery Center staff for taking care of all the many details that make the Center a rewarding experience for all the children and parents and teachers who visit us throughout the year.

We also want to thank the Corporate and Family Foundations and the many donors who have contributed money, equipment, exhibits and covered expenses through in-kind donation which support our programs and build up our park. We also want to thank the City of Fresno and Mayor Swearengin for their efforts to craft a long term lease for the Center.

I want to make a personal appeal to our readers to consider The Discovery Center in your year-end giving. We consider it an honor to service our community but we need your contributions to pay the staff that present our Camps and classes and maintain the grounds of our park. We do not receive any government funds. Our only funding is from your gifts and fees for services. We take seriously our financial responsibilities and we are happy to provide our audited financial statements to the public. They will soon be available on our website but you can request a copy from me at any time. If you wish to include the Center in your estate planning, please contact me directly so that a plan that meets your needs can be considered.
