"February Nature Kids: Children Around the World..."

Children Around the World at Nature Kids

Are your little ones ready to start preschool? You want them to get a headstart, but it takes hands-on lessons with fun activities to make science concepts really stick. Your toddlers need to learn about these new ideas in a way that holds their attention, while making the material something they can easily understand.

The Discovery Center makes these science lessons something they'll look forward to! This February, your kids can join us for one of four different lessons in our "Children Around the World" class. We'll teach them about major parts of the world, and they discover how children across the globe live and adapt to their surroundings. Nature Kids classes are just $20/members or $32/non-members for the entire month, at 10 a.m.-11 a.m. on Wednesdays.

  • February 3 - "North America"
In N. America what do the kids do for fun? What do they eat? What kinds of clothes do they wear?
  • February 10 - "North Pole"
Who lives at the North Pole? What kind of foods are there? What does the North Pole look like?
  • February 17 - "Europe"
What is the weather like in Europe? What do the kids play with? Do they dress differently than we do?
  • February 24 - "Asia"
What games do the kids play? What is their school like? What do they wear? What do they eat?
