"Find Out 'What's Coming Out of the Egg?' at Nature Kids this April..."

Bring your little explorers for
"Nature Kids" class this April

Did you know there's a place for your toddlers to discover nature - even before going to school? Have your littlest explorers had the chance to study their favorite animals at The Discovery Center? You might've thought they were too young, but our Nature Kids classes are designed to excite and educate your 3-5 year olds.

This month, we'll be learning about their favorite animals by studying eggs! At our "What's Coming Out of the Egg?" Nature Kids class, your tots will learn how to make a nest, study sea creature eggs, and even have some Easter fun to celebrate Spring! Nature Kids classes are every Wednesday from 10 - 11 am and your first class is FREE. It's only $20 to join us for your little explorers to join us all month long!

  • April 1st - No Nature Kids Classes (off for April Fool's Day)
  • April 8th - Bird Eggs
In this week's Nature Kids Class we'll learn about birds, the parts of an egg, how to make a nest, and have some Easter egg fun!
  • April 15 - Eggs in the Ocean
Did you know a shark egg is called a mermaid's purse? We'll make one at this week's Nature Kids! We'll also look at shrimp eggs under a microscope, and learn how fish, seahorses, sea turtles, and more lay eggs and grow up under the sea.
  • April 22 - Eggs on Land
A lot of land animals and pond dwellers lay eggs too - and not all of them are birds! We'll look for frog eggs in our very own Walden Pond, meet our resident box turtles, and take a look at their eggs. We'll see some cool bug eggs, too!
  • April 29 - Weird Eggs
Find out about some weird eggs, babies, and their mothers as we look at mammal eggs. We'll learn about the bodies of pouched mammals like the kangaroo, furry egg layers, and baby animals that grow up on their mom's back and even in her mouth!
