Thank You to our Featured Volunteer: William Lauder and Boy Scout Troop 257!
When it came time for William Lauder, 18, to begin his final project to earn his Eagle Scout certification, he wanted to do something different. As a member of Troop 257 based out of the Clovis Elks Lodge, Lauder had seen many of his fellow scouts pursue projects in the mountains and area surrounding the Central Valley. However, Lauder wasn’t interested in following the crowd. Instead, he came to The Discovery Center to find a project to support science in his own community. Give the Gift of a Week at Winter Camp!
For those looking to give an anonymous gift to a child in the Fresno area this holiday season, The Discovery Center needs your help. This winter, we're working hard to provide deserving children with scholarships to a week of Winter Science Camp. Your tax-deductible $200 donation will provide a fun-filled week of memories and a lifetime love of learning for an underprivileged child in our area. Read ahead to learn more about camp!

San Joaquin Valley Miata Club Drives Discovery Center Towards 10 Camp Scholarships
This spring, the San Joaquin Valley Miata Club hosted their annual "Poker Run", an event they have hosted once a year since the club was established in the mid-1990s. Each year, the Miata Club selects a non-profit organization to be the beneficiary of the raffle ticket sales at the event. This year, the club selected The Discovery Center as the recipient of the raffle ticket funds.
