Our mission Statement.....
At The Discovery Center, imaginations are free to run wild, as are your children. Whether they are digging in our Dino Dig Site or fishing for creatures in our Walden Pond, your children will find something exciting at The Discovery Center.
Founded in 1954, The Discovery Center is a non-profit science education center that is fully self-funded. We do not receive any funding from the City of Fresno. All donations are gratefully appreciated.

PARK Hours of operation: park admission is free!
Tuesday - Sunday: 10am - 4pm
Our 4+ acre park contains a Science Museum a giant rolling meadow, large shade trees, picnic benches & indoor bathrooms. Bring a picnic lunch! Some of our outdoor attractions include a Historical Barn, Waldon Pond, Yocut Indian houses, the Deutsch Cactus Garden, the Mystery Maze, A Gemini Space Capsule, a Dino Dig, a Tortoise enclosure, plus ducks, birds & squirrels! Come look for our model of a T-Rex while you stroll along the paths!
MUSEUM Hours of Operation:
Saturday and Sunday: 12 noon to 4 pm (Summer hours to come soon)
Museum pricing: $6.00 adults, $4.00 kids age 3 & above
Our newly remodeled and reopened Science Museum is super kid-friendly! Every child will find something they love to explore and investigate. Our exhibit areas include Space, Paleontology, Natural Science, Music, Electricity & Magnets, Native American basketry & artifacts, as well as live "animal ambassadors". This is real hands-on science at it's most (and loudest) fun! Your child has never been in a museum like this! Our museum also contains a small gift shop with all proceeds going to the upkeep of the Discovery Center.

The Museum is open!!
We found this in the barn the other day. Check out the dates (1953-1956). The sentiments expressed then are the same we feel now. Those of you that helped get the museum re-opened, THANK YOU! You know who you are, we know who you are, and we Thank You for your time, dedication, imagination, creativity, and support.
Soft Pre-Opening of our Museum was held this Saturday. The visitors loved it!

At the Discovery Center we have several live animals that we use for class presentations, birthday parties and interactions with at our museum. Any donations placed here will go towards feeding and caring for our animals.
Our animals include: bunnies, birds, chinchillas, big lizards, snakes, tortoises, turtles, tarantulas, scorpions, frogs, fish and others.
